Juries at work at the 23ᵃ ed. of the International Circus Festival of Italy

The numbers participating in the competition are 24, and on Saturday and Sunday they will be being watched by the two juries: the International technical Jury and the Critics Jury.

The Technical Jury is composed of eminent world circus experts: Mirella Iuliano (Italy), Honorary President of the Giulio Montico Cultural Association; Daniele Togni (Italy) Co-producer at American Circus; Alain Frere (France) Consultant to the organisers of the International Circus Festival of Monet-Carlo; Urs Pilz (Monaco) Vice President and Artistic Director of the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo; Odette Bouglione (France) President of the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione; Pierre Meyer (France) Founder and Director of Royal Palace; Istvan Kristof (Hungary) Founder of the International Circus Festival of Budapest; Peter Dubinsky (USA)  President of  Firebird Productions Inc.;  Aldo Vazquez (USA) Director of Circus Vazquez ; Pavel Kotov (Canada) Senior Casting Director, Cirque du Soleil; Rafael Gonzalez Villanueva (Spain)  Producer of  Sonrisas, Founder and e Director of Show Management;  Ricardo Rossi Ribes (Spain) Rossi Show Time; Louisa Raluy (Spain) Director of Circo Raluy Legacy; Mathias Reichle (Germany) Entertainment Director of Europa-Park; Stefan Huber  (Germany) Producer and Artistic Director at Palazzo Mannheim;  Yerik Zholzhaksynov (Kazakhstan) General Director of the State Capital Circus of Nur-Sultan city.

On Sunday, the Critics Jury will be watching and voting for the Critics Award. This jury is divided into two sections. The VIP section is composed of:  Lele Mora (President of the Jury), Manuela Arcuri, Giancarlo Magalli, Brigitta Boccoli, Raffaello Balzo, Sofia Bruscoli, Veronica Ursida, Adriano Squillante, Cristiana Marli. The Press section is composed of: Dario Duranti, Flavio Michi, Simone Cimino, Adolfo Rossomando, François Rozes,  Armando Alò, Vicente Llorca, Dina Tomezzoli, Francesco Puglisi, Raffaele Pongelli, Sarah Centra.

The shows are as follows:

  • Thursday October 13 at 9pm (show A);
  • Friday October 14 at 9pm (show B);
  • Saturday October 15 at 4.30pm (show B) and 9pm (show A);
  • Sunday October 16 at 3.30pm (show A) and 7pm (show B);
  • Monday October 17 at 8.30pm (Gala Show and Awards Ceremony)

The shows called A and B are completely different performances, but both contain performers of the same high level of artistry and skills – they are simply a division of the numerous acts into two separate shows.
